Boomerang Bags is a community driven initiative tackling plastic pollution at the grassroots level.
Our community group of volunteers get together to make reusable ‘Boomerang Bags’ using recycled materials. These are given away or sold to encourage our community to stop using plastic bags.
You need NO sewing skills to be part of Boomerang Bags – just come along on alternate Tuesday evenings and cut, iron, sew or just support the Boomerang Bags crew.
Plastic Free Broome
Plastic – Free Broome is a place for the community to keep up with events, share handy tips & good news stories about the reducing plastic use in our town. Take the Plastic Free July challenge- http://www.plasticfreejuly.org/ and help our town reduce the use of single use plastics.
Homelessness is an enormous challenge for permanent and temporary residents of Broome. People coming in from remote communities often sleep rough or rely on families in already overcrowded homes. Broome CIRCLE is currently working with these women to respond to their
Broome Emergency Relief Network (BERN)
