Steiner Inspired Playgroup
Sophia is a graduate from the Orana Steiner School in Canberra. Always a passionate advocate for Steiner Education, at school she would run tours of the Kindergarten, would initiate projects within the Steiner community, and often speak as a school representative for Steiner Education. Since graduation, she has completed a degree in writing and film, and begun a career in writing and production. But she has never lost sight of her Steiner roots and passion to share the freedom of Steiner education with children and their families.
In Steiner philosophy, there are three themes to childhood.
The theme of the early childhood years is the world is good, or 'Goodness'.
Themes that inform a Steiner Kindergarten:
The Senses ; Imitation; Self-Directed Creative Play ; Rhythms
