Broome Circle
Acknowledgment to Country
Broome CIRCLE acknowledges the diverse Aboriginal language groups of the Kimberley region as the First Australians of the lands in which we deliver our services. We pay our respect to the Yawuru Djugun peoples as the traditional custodians of the Broome area and their continuing and resilient connection to the land, waters and community, we extend that respect to their Elders past and present. We also acknowledge the impact that non-Aboriginal settlement has had on local culture and recognise the social, economic and educational impacts felt by many Aboriginal Australians today.
Who we are
Broome CIRCLE is an organisation unique to the Kimberley region. It identifies gaps in community service delivery and creatively delivers solutions and programs which go on to become sustainable and ongoing contributions to building capacity, empowering the disenfranchised and celebrating Broome’s multicultural population. We work in partnership with various stakeholders to build a stronger and more inclusive community through connecting people, encouraging collaboration, supporting initiatives and exchanging skills.
