Improving the present for ourselves and the future for our children
We are a free, confidential and voluntary support service, here to help everyone in the community save money through increasing their financial literacy. We run group workshops or alternatively work one on one with clients. Group workshops are conducted here at Broome C.I.R.C.L.E or elsewhere, and cover the following topics:
- Workshop 1 – Making the money last until payday;
- Workshop 2 – Planning for the future;
- Workshop 3 – How can banks help?
- Workshop 4 – Internet and phone banking;
- Workshop 5 – Credit can be a hazard;
- Workshop 6 – Money loans sharks and traps
- Workshop 7 – A roof overhead .. home ownership;
- Workshop 8 – A roof overhead .. tenancy;
- Workshop 9 – Managing paperwork
Contact us if you are interested in attending a group workshop or having us conduct one for your organisation. Details of the next approved course, which covers all workshops over two days, will be posted on the Broome C.I.R.C.L.E noticeboard. In an individual session you can expect to work on a budget that reflects your current position including bills and spending habits, then together with your case worker, identify ways of increasing your savings. We have endless tips on how you can save money across all aspects of living, from your groceries to holidays, so check out our fortnightly column in the Broome Advertiser or
